Volume 2 has arrived. And like volume, it is here to take up space. 8 stories: 6 fiction, 2 nonfiction. Again, we bring a diverse, emboldened set of voices to the table. Among our contributors, you'll find a recent USC graduate, alongside a high school student in Bangladesh, alongside eight-book author Mandira Pattnaik. We have stories about flooding, fog, flowers, and the future. All in all, Volume 2 is a breathtaking achievement.
I think again of our namesake, the Ark. If indifference is the storm, then we are only kept afloat by the stories we tell. The pieces in this volume push us slowly but steadily towards understanding, towards action, towards shore.

The climactic moment has arrived—Volume 2 is here! A personal favorite of mine is A Digression on Fog by Ian Connolly—a thoughtful, piercing reflection on a foggy trek to the bay. His language is exquisite, capturing in sharp detail the fleeting moments of the moonlight glimmering on ocean waves, the caress of the sea breeze.
It is an honor to share these vivid stories with you all, and it is our hope that their words ring true and inspire wonder in every reader. Let us each reignite our love and awe for Mother Nature, and do what we can to preserve her splendor!
